In the beginning...

In celebration of a local non-league football club getting a brand spanking new clubhouse, Matt Thornhill approached local comedian Kerry Cassidy to come and gig in the new venue.
​
The first night was held on the 1st April 2017 and featured the brilliant talents of Mark Dennett, Ian Bowden, Alf, David Arnold, Suzy Bennett and all being overseen by Kerry as MC. It was a great success having over 80 people in the venue. But because it had been such an awesome night the demand for Matt and Kerry to do a 2nd was huge. The trouble was that both Kerry and Matt had real day jobs...

But that didn’t stop them...

Dobfools Comedy is becoming synonymous with great stand-up and is taking a life of its own. Dobfools has already held its 1st Comedy workshop, run by Dave Thompson (the original TinkyWinky from the Teletubbies) with the 2nd in the planning.

Dobfools Comedy Club describes itself as a pop up comedy club...
